Consider this a warning. The new viral video making its rounds on the Internet features “baby swinging.” In the YouTube video, a Russian woman reportedly named Lena Fokina swings and flips a baby through the air in a series of so-called “baby yoga” moves that bear NO resemblance to yoga done by  any sane person.

For a few seconds the video is laughable, and then it gets deeply, deeply disturbing. You’ll need the brain bleach after watching this one.

Please tell me this is fake. I don’t even want to know if it’s real, because if it is, there’s nothing I can do about it. Except, perhaps, to post the warning that swinging your baby like this would probably dislocate all its limbs and damage its brain. Apparently they haven’t gotten the memo on shaken baby syndrome in Russia. If the health implications aren’t enough, think about the spit-up. Meanwhile, for my own mental health I’ve decided that’s a doll in the video.
