Viola Davis made history Sunday night as the first African-American woman to take home the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. And no one was more proud than her soon-to-be 4-year-old daughter, Genesis.
On Tuesday, the "How to Get Away With Murder" actress shared an adorable video of Genesis "hacking" her Instagram account with an important message.
"I love you, Mommy, and I hope you win another Emmy. You're my favorite girl. I love you," Genesis told her mom in the clip.
Davis, 50, responded to her historic win with a poignant speech during the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards.
"The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity," she said. "You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there. Here's to all the writers. ... People who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman, to be black."
