Tyra Banks is a mom!

The former "America's Next Top Model" host and her boyfriend, photographer Erik Asla, are now parents to a baby boy named York Banks Asla, Banks announced on Instagram Wednesday.

"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," Banks wrote n a caption accompanying the photo of York's baby hat.

"He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin," she added. "As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

Baby York was born via gestational surrogate, People confirmed.

"We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy," Banks told the magazine in a statement. "The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik."

Banks added, "As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms."

Banks has been open with her efforts to conceive, and with IVF procedures. She told People last September, "I've had some not happy moments with that, very traumatic moments. It's difficult as you get older. It's not something that can just happen."

York is the first child for Banks. Asla has three daughters who live with him in Los Angeles, according to his bio at Photo Artwork Agency.

And perhaps York is just the first of many! Banks said to People last year: "I want a litter! And I want to be the kind of mom where my child can come to me for anything."
