One surprisingly non-judgmental quote from her interview: "Show me a kid who is confident, and strong, and happy and self-reliant, and I think basically you've got good parenting, Western or Eastern, strict or not strict." Of course then she immediately starts talking about how her so-called "Chinese mother" approach is better than instilling self-esteem than the "more coddling" Western approach. I guess a tiger can't change its stripes....
