As Meredith Vieira leaves TODAY (*sniff*), everyone is reminiscing about their favorite stories and on-camera moments. Since Meredith is one of us -- that is, a proud mom -- we thought TODAY Moms should chime in, too.
One of the great things about Meredith is that she always keeps it real. Especially when the topic is motherhood. As a mom to three, Meredith brings her parenting experience to her stories (and perhaps uses it to keep her co-anchors in line, too!). I particularly enjoyed when, during one recent segment on surviving the summer with kids, an expert suggested that kids read 10 books during the summer.
"TEN books?!" Meredith exclaimed, with the skepticism of a mom who's been there, done that. It's those little moments of reality that connect us all as moms.
So thanks, Meredith, for representing moms so well. We'll miss you.
