TODAY's Savannah Guthrie had to miss work this week due to pneumonia — but this sweet, hand-drawn card from one of her children helped ease the pain.

Savannah shared photos of the card on social media Monday, garnering well-wishes on both Instagram and Twitter, not knowing that unfortunately it was the start of a whole week away from TODAY with a debilitating bout of pneumonia.

"When your little one makes you a get well card," she wrote on Instagram, adding a heart emoji to her caption.

On Twitter, she called the card "Better than medicine."

Savannah said in a phone call to TODAY on Friday that she has also been on actual medicine around the clock to try to fight the effects of her illness.

"I was talking to my mom yesterday and she was like, 'Savannah, you have not been this sick in your entire life,' and it's really true,'' she said. "I really have never been so laid out flat. Really, it's just a lot of misery."

The sweet get-well note from her 5-year-old daughter, Vale, was a bright spot in a tough week in which Savannah's son, Charley, 2, has also been sick.

"How sweet Vale is," wrote Instagram commentator ginn45.

"Your daughter is adorable... Please feel better," added Twitter user @TheGOV17.

TODAY co-host Jenna Bush Hager, who is out on maternity leave, initially thought maybe she was responsible for Savannah being under the weather.

"OH NO," Jenna wrote in Savannah's Instagram comments. "Did I give it to you???"

Savannah said Friday that Vale had pneumonia a few weeks ago, and her doctors said that could potentially have been the cause of her illness.

Hopefully after a rough week, Savannah will be back in Studio 1A on Monday!
