While we all wait for the royal baby name to be released—and some of us bet on it—crowds remain outside of Lindo Hall at St. Mary’s Hospital, hoping to catch the first glimpse of the future heir to the throne.

But the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been busy with guests: Earlier this morning, London time, the Middletons stopped by to meet their first grandchild, while Prince Charles visited later in the afternoon.

The Royal Baby Fever Continues...

And around the world, notes of love are pouring in: The Clarence House collected messages of congrats and parenting advice via Google+, while relatives and fellow royalty released their own public statements about the newest royal addition. But then finally around 7:15 p.m., London time, the biggest moment of the day arrived:

And the First Photo of the Royal Baby Is Revealed!

Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped outside the hospital to introduce their newborn to the world. First, Kate held the baby and then passed him to William. In a short interview before heading back inside the hospital, the proud papa said: "He's got a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy!" He also added: "He's got her looks, thankfully!"

While it’s hard to see the baby’s face—we’re sure we’ll see it displayed on everything from dinnerware to pillows very soon. Welcome to the public eye, little guy!
