Country singer Rory Feek surrounded himself with his three daughters and other loved ones to mark his first Father’s Day since losing his wife, Joey, to cancer.
Feek shared two photos on his social media pages Sunday to mark the special day, the first showing him with the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Indiana, and his two grown children from a previous relationship, Heidi and Hope.
“Having a Happy Papa's Day finding Dory w my three girls,” he wrote in the caption.
Feek noted his late wife’s absence in a second photo he posted a hours later. That one showed family and friends gathered around a porch swing.
"Three fathers and their families. Had a wonderful time having dinner at Homestead Manor this eve, but so wish Joey could be w us."
Joey Feek was 40 when she passed away in March from cervical cancer. She and her husband were part of the Grammy-nominated band Joey + Rory.
Last week, Rory Feek posted a tribute to his wife on what would have been the couple’s 14th anniversary.
In the blog post, he also included a movie trailer for a new film, “To Joey, With Love," which he said he hopes will “continue to tell her beautiful story, while Indy and I live out the new one that God is now writing."
