Princess Eugenie is enjoying her first Mother’s Day as a mom, just one month after giving birth to her son, August.

The new mother, 30, shared her celebratory Mother’s Day post on Instagram, which included two photos to mark the occasion. The first was a new photo of her son lying in a field of daffodils wearing a white sweater and matching cap, whale-printed pants and a pair of adorable bunny slippers. His little fists and rosy cheek are too cute.

The second was a photo of her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, holding Eugenie in 1990. The princess was born in March that year.

“I’m so excited to be August's mum and as you can see I'm enjoying my first Mother’s Day,” Eugenie captioned the photos. “I'm also celebrating my beautiful Mumma with this picture of us from March 1990. You’ve taught me so much.”

Eugenie's mother gave a nod to her daughter and grandson in her own Mother's Day post, sharing a collage of photos of her late mother.

"To my Mum, you are with me everyday and you would be so proud of your Great Grandson August," she wrote in the caption. "Thank you for all you taught me and the joy you showed me."

Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed August Philip Hawke Brooksbank on Feb. 9. August is the first grandchild for Eugenie's parents and the ninth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The couple waited almost two weeks after his birth to announce their son's name, sharing the news on Instagram on Feb. 20, alongside a sweet photo of the family of three. Eugenie also revealed the touching meaning behind the name on her Instagram story the same day.

“On his grandfather’s birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy,” she wrote. “He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers."

Eugenie’s official announcement of August's name on Instagram caught the attention of fellow moms, who praised her in the comments for looking less done up than one might expect of a royal.

As one person put it, "(I) love that she looks so real and not glammed – like most mums in the early haze of having a newborn."

“Thank you for sharing a true postpartum picture,” another user wrote. “You look beautiful! Giving birth is a true milestone.”

“A princess that looks like the rest of us after birthing a child," someone else added.
