You may remember a post here on TODAY Moms from this past August that sparked off a spirited debate about bars reserving the right to refuse serving alcohol to pregnant women. As noted in that post, there are few issues as divisive as the question of expectant mothers consuming alcohol. However, a new study published this week in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health is suggesting that pregnant women who have one or two drinks per week aren’t putting their unborn children at any greater risk than pregnant mothers who abstain from drinking entirely. Umm, bottoms up, ladies? The safest option for pregnant mothers, of course, remains to abstain entirely, but do the findings of this study resonate for you?
