Just like his parents, Prince George knows how to work the camera.

A day ahead of his second birthday, Kensington Palace released a new photo Tuesday of the young royal. “Look who’s turning two tomorrow!” it declared in the caption of the picture, which it released on its Twitter and Instagram feeds.

The grinning young toddler, third-in-line to the throne, is shown being held by his father, Prince William, who recently referred to his energetic son as “a little monkey.”

The photo was snapped on the christening day of George's younger sister, Princess Charlotte, and was taken by Mario Testino, a celebrity photograph favored by the royal family.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace said: "This photograph captures a very happy moment on what was a special day for The Duke and Duchess and their family. They are very pleased to share this picture as they celebrate Prince George's second birthday."

Other photos from the day, released days following Charlotte's July 5 christening, showed off equally joyful images of the recently-expanded royal family, including another one of Prince George with his dad.
