For new moms returning to work after maternity leave, the struggle is real. Trusting someone else with your baby, figuring out how to pump breast milk at work, and missing that new baby smell can be an emotional experience for women returning to the office.
In this installment of TODAY's "New Baby Basics" video series, TODAY producer Patrice Poltzer and her husband, Olly Jones, take a look at some advice given to Poltzer by her NBC News colleagues, as well as share their own personal experience with returning to work after their son, Jenson, was born.
Poltzer and her fellow moms remind us that it's OK to cry or feel overwhelmed. Remember, take it one day at a time and don't make any big decisions in those first few weeks!
Got more questions? Sure you do. TODAY's New Baby Basic series answers (or tries to answer) the most-searched questions asked by new parents. See the entire digital original series here.
