The love between Michelle and Barack Obama hasn't dimmed one bit in the 25 years since they tied the knot.

Michelle celebrated the couple's 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday with a sweet message to the former president on Instagram alongside a throwback photo from their wedding in 1992.

"A quarter of a century later, you're still my best friend & the most extraordinary man I know,'' she wrote.

Barack and the former Michelle Robinson met in 1989 when he was a summer associate at a Chicago law firm where she worked.

Politicians from both sides of the spectrum cannot dispute the genuine love between the two, which was on display in many touching moments throughout the eight years they were in the White House.

The couple now has plenty of time to spend together considering they are almost empty-nesters. They dropped off their oldest daughter, Malia, 19, for her freshman year at Harvard this fall. Their younger daughter, Sasha, 16, is only a few years away from college herself.

That leaves plenty more time for romantic slow dances and sweet Valentine's Day messages.

Happy Anniversary!
