In the statement, he explains that while he was unprepared for fatherhood, this forced him to grow up almost instantly. He openly discusses the night he and Davis found out they were expecting and the wave of emotions he felt throughout the process, and his new song is a reflection of this journey.

"There's nothing like the joy and happiness that comes with bringing a baby into the universe. She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew possible. She is the love of my life. This song is for her," Macklemore wrote.

Along with this news, Macklemore shared a sweet photo of himself holding the baby's hand and sporting ... a wedding ring. Yes, it looks like he, in fact, got married.

Speculation had been brewing that the rapper and Davis, his tour manager, had tied the knot back in June when he tweeted, "Feels like a good day to get married :)" However, he never confirmed whether or not it was indeed a good day until now.

Davis made the news official today with an Instagram post that explains all that's happened in their lives this summer. To accompany a precious photo of Macklemore holding their daughter, Davis wrote, "We had our beautiful baby girl on May 29th... Got married on June 27th once the Supreme Court ruled same sex couples could too... And now new music. Thank you all for being patient, this year has been incredible so far, we love you."

Looks like it's been a busy and very exciting summer for the rapper on all fronts. Here's to wishing him and Davis a lifetime of happiness with their new bundle of joy!
