Reality-television star Kate Gosselin, mom to eight, is under fire yet again – this time, for allegedly repacking her children’s uneaten sandwiches, sending them to school with the same “gross” PB&J for lunch, day after day.
Something about this story doesn’t pass the smell test, and it’s not the sandwiches. Gosselin’s children are 10 (the twins) and 6 (the sextuplets), and judging from the TV show they’re clever enough to figure out that if they chuck out their moldy old sandwich at lunchtime, they’ll get a new one.
But honestly, we might be on Team Kate here. Is repacking a kid’s uneaten sandwich for lunch really so bad? Not all week, of course, but once or twice. Reduce, re-use, recycle, right?
