In 2015, Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel welcomed son Silas to world — and as the multi-talented pop star explained on TODAY Tuesday, they also welcomed a world of change to their lives.

"It changes everything," Timberlake told fellow father Willie Geist. "You literally just wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and go, 'I have no idea what I'm doing.'"

But make no mistake, Timberlake is certainly doing a lot. In the upcoming animated feature "Trolls," the busy dad voices one of the lead roles and belts the theme song — his No. 1 hit and song of the summer, "Can't Stop the Feeling." And he gives his little guy back home a lot of credit for that.

"That was sort of serendipitous, and I would have never written a song like 'Can't Stop the Feeling' (without having a child)," he explained.

And as a bonus, Silas can enjoy the track himself.

"There's a lot of music that he can't listen to of mine — at least not yet," Timberlake noted.

But crafting a family-friendly hit isn't the only thing Timberlake has learned from fatherhood — he's also learned about motherhood by watching Biel and his baby boy together.

"They teach you," he said. "It's crazy. ... Watching him learn things, this new appreciation for both of them — you know, her and him — and so it's humiliating, and it's humbling at the same time."
