Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald know all about being part of a big family, and now the recent newlyweds are ready to fill their own home with children.

Jessa, 22, and Ben, 19, have a combined 24 siblings. Now the stars of TLC reality hit "19 Kids & Counting" hope to soon have their home in Springdale, Arkansas, filled with a new generation.

"We hope to adopt a lot of kids," Jessa toldPEOPLE. "If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt."

"Kids are so important,'' Ben added.

Ben is one of seven children, while Jessa is famously one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 children. They also spoke with PEOPLE about their relationship since tying the knot. Rather than share their first kiss as husband and wife at their wedding in November of 2014, they made the moment private, although the two haven't been shy about lip-locking for Instagram.

"If we have a hard time and we talk about it, you just love each other so much more afterwards," Jessa said. "After a disagreement, I often feel, 'I have never loved you more than I love you now.' "
