 One of her suggestions for alternative girl role models are Greek goddesses. Her daughter was Athena for Halloween, which we agree, is very cool. Of course, emulating Aphrodite wouldn't be much of an improvement -- perhaps the problem of good role models for girls pre-dates Barbie and Snow White!
