Honors student, model United Nations participant, varsity athlete, Ivy League bound… sounds like the kind of perfect teenager every mother wants, right?
But one 17-year-old Florida girl who fits that description is now accused of pistol-whipping her mother to force her to co-sign a loan for a car. Yikes!
Rachel Hachero allegedly hit her mother in the head with a gun (which turned out to be stolen), pointed it at her head and threatened to kill her mother if she didn’t co-sign for the car. They went to the dealership, and Rachel drove away in a black 2004 Nissan 350Z. She was later arrested.
The mother told NBC News she didn’t want to comment – and who can blame her? Without more information, it’s impossible to know for sure what went on here: Is Rachel a good kid who just snapped? Did she fall in with the wrong crowd? Or did she have a dangerous attitude of entitlement?
But it’s a cautionary tale for every family – “perfect” isn’t everything.
