A year after her divorce was finalized, supermodel Heidi Klum is opening up about life without ex-husband Seal by her side, and what it's like to be a single mom to four kids.
Apparently, it's not that different from life when she was married, Klum reveals in a new interview in Redbook, on stands Oct. 20.

"Obviously, things have changed, but they haven't changed drastically," she told the magazine. "[Seal] was never your typical dad who left for work in the morning with his briefcase and would be by home by dinnertime every night. He traveled a lot. The kids knew it was part of his job. I'm a mom and a dad at the same time."

The couple married in 2005 and Klum filed for divorce in 2012, but the divorce wasn't finalized until 2014. Despite raising four children and balancing a busy TV and modeling career, Klum seems to have her busy life under control.

"Women are capable of juggling a lot of balls — we can do things that guys just cannot do," Klum said. "Men typically juggle only one ball, and even then they're like, 'I'm confused. Should I put it in my right or left hand?' A lot of them have a very hard time just trying to figure out what to do with that one ball. And often they want us to hold that one too!"

The model, who turned 42 this summer, also shed some light on aging gracefully.
"Would it be nice if my skin and body still looked the way it did when I was 25? Sure," she said. "But the fact is, your body changes when you have children; you get wrinkles as you get older. I like that I have laugh lines from smiling too much."
