It’s not uncommon for babies to love music and dancing, but when your baby prefers Pitbull and Taylor Swift to his ABCs, there’s not much left to do but let him turn up the beat and get down.
In a video that recently went viral, 17-month-old JP Peterson turns up the Pitbull hit "Time of Our Lives" as loud as mom, Stephanie, will allow on the car stereo. As the music blares, JP starts to show off his impressive dance moves. When Stephanie tries to turn the radio down, JP turns it back up and continues to dance.
JP’s dad, Adam Peterson, said his son, now 22 months old, loves nothing more than his precious tunes.
“He loves music — he actually said ‘music’ as one of his first words,” the Syracuse, Utah dad told TODAY Parents. “He insists that we have music on all day ... and he doesn’t even need music to dance — we can just drum a beat on the table and he can get his groove on. He loves it and laughs as he goes.”
In addition to Pitbull, JP adores Taylor Swift, and he's been known to get down to anything from Usher to the "Parks and Recreation" theme song.
“His fun and silly personality keeps us on our toes,” Peterson said of his son, adding that one of JP’s favorite things to do is to play in the car, honking the horn and listening to music.
“He loves to push all of the buttons in our car, and on that particular day, he discovered how to turn up the volume knob," Peterson said. "We still laugh every time we watch (the video). My wife loves the ending when he gives his sassy head flip. It makes us laugh every time.”
