Crib notes: Mother's Day disappointment leads to divorce

If you think celebrities give their babies weird names, just wait until you meet Pneuborn-7II. Researchers at Japan's Osaka University have added this newest model to their robotic baby army, which also includes a disembodied baby head and the Pneuborn-13. The 7II model mimics the movements of a seven-month-old baby, while the 13 model mimics the movements of -- you guessed it, a 13-month-old baby. It's a little unclear what researchers are hoping to do with this parade of robotic babies. Perhaps it's the latest twist on people treating dolls like real babies.

Who hasn't been stuck walking through a crowded area and looked longingly at a baby in a stroller and thought how nice it would be to get a ride like that? But when exactly, do kids become too big for a stroller? There's now a blog called Too Big for Stroller, which features photos of children deemed too old to be in a stroller, complete with snarky comments. Is it a sanity-saving move by parents to put post-toddler-aged kids in a stroller during an outing that requires a lot of walking or is there an age when kids should just buck up and walk themselves?

As soon as a woman is pregnant, she finds herself the recipient of much (often unsolicited) advice from people, many of whom aren't even parents themselves. Some wonder if people who haven't actually been in the trenches are qualified to hand out tips to others. After all, it's easy to be the perfect parent when you're raising the hypothetically perfect child. One parenting expert who wrote two books on the subject before becoming a father himself sticks by his previous advice now that he is a dad but is also condensing his tips into three simple words: calm, tough, and persistent.

Score one for the breast is best team. New research shows that babies who were breast-fed were less likely to have behavioral problems as children than formula-fed babies.
