Katie Holmes celebrated her mother's birthday with a surprise party over the weekend, but photos from the big event prove she also celebrated the joys of motherhood.
Holmes shared several party pics on Instagram, including a couple sweet shots that show her and daughter Suri Cruise cuddled up close together.
The "Ray Donovan" star let hashtags do the talking in the captions that accompanied the black-and-white photos, such as "#blessed," "#gratitude," "#family" and "#love."

While Suri's face is obscured in the photos, a recent pic Holmes shared revealed just how much mother and daughter look alike these days.

And a throwback photo of Suri's grandmother, birthday girl Kathleen Holmes, shows that you can add her name to the look-alike list, too.
