Do parents become better environmentalists after having kids?
That’s the ultimate question we are asking in a joint TODAY Moms/iVillage survey on whether becoming a parent influences our environmental activities. Does worrying about the future of your children inspire you to do more to help the future of the planet?
In those days before kids, maybe it felt easier to embrace the reduce/reuse/recycle philosophy. You cleaned out the peanut butter jars before recycling them, sorted the trash and never went to the store without a cloth bag. But has that effort gone by the wayside because you don’t have time? Because when you are scrambling to make their school lunches, plastic baggies are just so…convenient?
Tell us how green you are or where you fall short. We’ll use the responses in an upcoming story on TODAYMoms.
