Happy BumpDay!

Not familiar with BumpDay? Well, it’s a day that rhymes with “hump day” and is about a million times cuter.

What to Expect, the pregnancy and parenting brand that launched the day on July 22 along with the United Nations Foundation, International Medical Corps and 1,000 Days, describes it as a celebration of “healthy pregnancies and beautiful bumps all over the globe.”

“Healthy futures start with healthy beginnings,” What to Expect explains on the website BumpDay.org. “Every day, approximately 800 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy. Help change that by using the hashtag #BumpDay to raise awareness about the importance of healthy pregnancies!”

Women around the world have taken to social media to do just that, and the Internet is alive with astonishingly adorable baby bump photos. (There are even some throwback pics, including one from actress Valerie Bertinelli!) Here’s a sampling:
