Team USA skier Devin Logan said she knew she clinched a medal after landing her first jump in the in the first ever Olympic slopestyle competition on Tuesday, just a week before her 21st birthday. 

"Hearing the crowd roar was awesome. My heart was racing. I couldn't stop shaking my legs from adrenaline," she said to TODAY's Savannah Guthrie. "It was the best feeling in the world."

Logan said the warm weather made the snow "slushy and warm," affecting her speed. Still, she put mind over matter and pulled out a winning run."I just thought of it as another spring day skiing so it was fun."
