Prince William and Kate are presenting 25 new Canadians with Canadian flags during a citizenship ceremony, making an already special day for the new citizens unforgettable.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they are officially known, emerged from their motorcade Friday to raucous cheering from hundreds of spectators. They drowned out a handful of protesters who oppose requiring Canadian citizens to pledge allegiance to the Queen.
Kate was wearing the Canadian colors, a cream dress by Reiss, with a red hat and the Queen's Maple Leaf brooch.
Queen Elizabeth II — William's grandmother — remains Canada's head of state.
