When the next tryouts for U.S. Open ball girls come around, Jemila Brady will have the gig in the bag.
U.S. Open ball boys and girls are known for their quick and efficient moves on the tennis court, scooping up any stray balls during a match.
But it was 20-year-old Jemila Brady's unique snag that caught everyone's attention during a match on Wednesday.
Midway through the U.S. Open quarterfinals between Caroline Wozniacki and Sara Errani, a stray plastic bag floated down from the stands and across the court, temporarily halting play.
Without hesitation, Jemila swiftly cut across the court, snagging the bag in stride and settling back into position as the crowd roared.
Wozniacki went on to win, but at the end of the day, it was Brady who had the play of the match.
