A two-day conference will highlight recent film industry developments Mississippi and will explore the future of the state industry with a focus on the business side of film production.

The Mississippi Film Summit begins Thursday with a reception at the Mississippi Film Studios in Canton celebrating the facility's grand opening.

On Friday, it moves to the Muse Center on the Pearl campus of Hinds Community College.

Organizers say there will be presentations on Mississippi's new film incentive program and panel discussions on development and financing, work force training, industry education and new technology.

Organizers say Gov. Haley Barbour and Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant will speak Friday.
