Anderson Cooper's new daytime talk show is dealing with the fallout of a skateboarding accident that injured a teenager about to appear in an episode on the science of the teenage brain. The news blog Gawker.com reports the teen hit his head while filming stunts of himself on a skateboard and was in a coma.

Cooper's month-old syndicated talk show, "Anderson," confirmed Monday it had asked its guest for video footage but wouldn't address what he had been asked to film. Cooper says in a statement he's "very saddened to hear the news" and is praying for the teen's recovery. The teen was to appear on a segment about how a brain develops.
