#TarpGuy gets pulled under when grounds crew rolls field cover at Royals game

There were a few tense moments on Thursday night when the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals faced off in Kansas City. But those moments had nothing to do with the division game.

A rain delay in the third inning required the grounds crew to roll out a massive tarp, and the task proved tricky — particularly so for one member of the crew.

They rolled right over him!

According to the Kansas City Star, that's Adam Wallace, a senior at Raymore-Peculiar High School, disappearing under the tarp in the clip. But while it looks like he was in real danger, the good news is that he got a thumbs-up from medics after the incident and walked away without injury.

He's also something of an Internet sensation now.

After #TarpGuy proved what a tough guy he is on the field, he even got a job offer from the Lenexa Police Department.

As shocking as Thursday night's tarp-roll turned out to be, it wasn't the first time something like this has happened — to a member of the Royals crew.

Back in 2011, another grounds man found himself bowled over by the roll, and he made it out unscathed, too.

Whew!
