Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen married National Football League star Tom Brady in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica Thursday, Us Weekly reported.
The celebrity magazine said the small, private ceremony took place at St. Monica Catholic Church, less than a mile from the beach in the oceanfront community. The wedding reportedly took place just before 6 p.m., and the few guests were mostly immediate family members, including Brady’s 18-month-old son, John Edward Thomas.
The bride wore Dolce & Gabbana, as did her three dogs. Afterward a small gathering took place at the couple’s Brentwood home.
Bundchen, 28, has been dating the 31-year-old New England Patriots quarterback since 2006. People magazine reported that Brady popped the question last month: “He asked and she accepted,” a source said.
Bundchen was previously linked with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Forbes.com reported last May that she was the world's highest-paid supermodel, with estimated annual earnings of $35 million.
This is the first marriage for both Bundchen and Brady. Brady’s son is from a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, with whom he broke up about the time she got pregnant.
