Sierra, a 7-year-old cancer survivor who now makes care packages for other pint-size patients, became this year's "Chief Kindness Officer."

The Madison, Connecticut, youngster won the most votes in the second annual "Kindest Kid" contest sponsored by The Sprout Network, which is owned by NBC Universal.

Sierra visits hospitalized cancer patients, bringing them gift bags or sharing yoga-inspired breathing techniques to help them relax during treatments. She and her sister started the Childhood Cancer Kids, and her win helped secure a $5,000 charitable donation from Sprout.

All five "Kindest Kid" finalists celebrated their accomplishments with a trip to New York, where they talked Monday about their compassionate actions with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager.

It was the first visit to the Big Apple for each of the kids.

“Feels like I’m an ant,” said Colin, who started a coat drive for the needy in his Rochester, New York.

Colin was joined by Kayden, who writes holiday cards to the military serving abroad; Jayla, who makes book bags filled with items to help the homeless; and Tavin, who helped families devastated by tornado-related damages.

Like the other kids, Colin had big plans for his visit.

“Skating, going to the Lego store, watch a movie,” he said.
