It's a day of double the joy for Lily Allen!
Not only did the British songbird tie the knot with her business owner boyfriend Sam Cooper Saturday in Gloucestershire, England, but a source confirms to the newlyweds are expecting their first child.
"It's true. Sam announced it during his [wedding] speech," a source close to the couple confirms to Us. "They are over the moon — this is the best possible news on the best day."
One hundred of Allen and Cooper's friends and family looked on as the happy couple swapped vows at St. James the Great church. For her big day, Allen wore a custom gown designed for her by French designer Dephine Manivet. Escorted down the aisle by her father, Keith, the expectant bride carried a bouquet of white roses.
Cooper, 32, popped the question to Allen, 26, on Christmas Day last year on the Indonesian island of Bali.
"Lily was overwhelmed" and started crying, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reported at the time of the "Smile" singer.
In recent interviews, Allen has described Cooper as "the love of my life."
"Sam treats me differently. He's told me he'll look after me forever. That's what I've always wanted — someone to look after me," she told the U.K. Sun of her beau, who operates an upscale design store. "We've never had one argument and there's absolutely nothing about him that annoys me."
The couple's weekend nuptials are a happy highlight for Allen and Cooper, who suffered a devastating miscarriage in November when Allen was six months pregnant. Nearly three years ago, she had a miscarriage during her relationship with musician Ed Simons.
Allen has said having children is "ultimately my main goal" in life.
