Colon cancer kills about 56,000 Americans every year. One way to prevent those deaths is by screening for the disease. On NBC’s “Today” show, producer Nancy Steiner decided to become pro-active about colon cancer screening and agreed to have her colonscopy shown live on the air. She realized she needed to get tested early herself because she had a family history of the disease. Dr. Mark Pochapin is her physician and they appear live from New York Presbyterian Hospital. Watch their discussion with “Today” host Katie Couric.
