Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the Austria Press Agency say a member of the Dutch royal family has been hit by an avalanche in Austria.
Austrian news agency APA reported Friday that Queen Beatrix's second son Friso was buried under snow for 15 minutes before he was rescued and taken to a hospital in Innsbruck.
The agency gave no source for its information and had no immediate information on Friso's condition. There was no immediate confirmation from authorities.
Members of the royal family are skiing in the Austrian mountain village of Lech, which has been hit by heavy snowfall in recent days.
Rutte told reporters Friday it was not Queen Beatrix who was hit, but had no other details.
