Reese Witherspoon, who recently scored a Golden Globe nomination for starring in "Wild," is a beloved actress. But at home, she's most definitely a mom first and a movie star second — with the added challenge of raising both a toddler and two adolescents at the same time.

As she noted on TODAY Wednesday, corralling 15-year-old Ava and 11-year-old Deacon plus 2-year-old Tennessee is a whole new kind of role.

"It's interesting," she said. "Two different things are happening all the time."

But, she added, "It's kind of great because ... my older kids are just so in love with their baby brother and help out so much. It's kind of like having this big extended family. We always talk about in our house, the more people that love you, the better your life is. So, I love it."

Catch more from Witherspoon in "Wild," which is currently in theaters. She also has a part in "Inherent Vice," which opens Jan. 9.
