The jury in singer R. Kelly's child pornography trial in Chicago has been dismissed early.
Court was adjourned after a defense lawyer got a call from a man who claims to have information relevant to the case. The judge said attorneys needed time to get the man's testimony.
He was said to be flying to Chicago from another state.
Earlier, a high school basketball coach testified that one of his former players is the young female who appears on the sex tape at the center of the trial. The coach told jurors that he recognized her by a distinctive cross the female on the tape is wearing.
Kelly and the alleged victim both deny they are on the tape. Prosecutors are trying to prove that the female on the tape was underage when it was made.
Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
