Octavia Spencer continued her awards-season dominance on Sunday night when she took home the trophy for best supporting actress for her role as a spunky maid in "The Help." Spencer had already won in the same category at the Critics Choice, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Image and Screen Actors Guild awards for her portrayal of Minny.

The actress received a standing ovation as she took the stage to deliver a tearful acceptance speech for her first Academy Award.

"Oh thank you," she gushed. "Thank you, Academy, for putting me with the hottest guy in the room." After a few more quick thank yous, the actress pleaded, "Please wrap up! I'm wrapping up! I'm sorry, I'm freaking out! Thank you, world!"

The star was up against her "Help" costar Jessica Chastain, as well as Melissa McCarthy, Berenice Bejo, and Janet McTeer.
