President Barack Obama congratulated Britain's Prince Charles on his son's wedding during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday.

Obama also praised the prince for his environmental work, the White House said in a statement.

"President Obama warmly welcomed the prince's work over three decades on environmental issues, halting deforestation and encouraging sustainable food production," the statement said.
