President Donald Trump took to Twitter Saturday to speak out against the protesters around the country, but then said he wanted to “applaud” them. Wes Moore, CEO of the Robin Hood foundation, tells Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist that the protests are a good time for people to step up and stand for humanity, inclusion, and what makes America great in the first place. Moore also says many people didn’t vote for Trump out of hatred, but rather hopelessness.
