Organizers of Rome's film festival screening a movie about Myanmar pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi are quoting her as saying truth and justice are bastions against brutality.
The biopic "The Lady," by French director Luc Besson, is opening the festival Thursday. Organizers says the Nobel Peace Prize winner issued a statement saying truth, justice and solidarity are often all that stands between "us and the brutality of power." Former Bond girl Michelle Yeoh plays Suu Kyi, who has spent most of the last two decades detained by her homeland's former military junta. The movie was filmed in Thailand.
