While the "Cowboys & Aliens" are busy fighting each other, they're not exactly winning the battle with critics.

The big-budget genre mash-up starring Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig is opening this weekend to mediocre reviews. AP Movie Writer David Germain described it in his two-star review as "an action yarn aiming to be both science fiction and Old West adventure but doing neither all that well."

Also debuting nationwide this weekend is the romantic comedy "Crazy Stupid Love," with an ensemble cast led by Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore and Emma Stone. AP Movie Critic Christy Lemire wrote in her two-star review: "For a movie that intends to be rooted in a recognizable and insightful reality, 'Crazy Stupid Love' features an awful lot of moments that clang in a contrived, feel-good manner.
