A male fashion model best known for his work with Versace, Luis Vuitton and Katy Perry died over the weekend in a hit-and-run.
Eric Zentner, 30, was struck and killed at approximately 3:45 a.m. Saturday when his car ran out of gas on the California 101 freeway near Buellton as he was en route to visit family in Sacramento.

A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol tells E! News authorities are searching for a motorist behind the wheel of a light blue, mid-'90s Dodge Caravan which they believe hit the Vogue mainstay in the dark as he was walking to a nearby farm to get assistance.
"It was a hit-and-run accident," said the spokesman. For whatever reason, he was out in the middle of the highway and got hit by an oncoming vehicle."
Investigators based their assessment on evidence collected at the scene that included headlight lenses with part numbers, light blue paint and a windshield wiper.
"It's an ongoing investigation," added the spokesperson. "We don't know what happened. So far, no one has come forward."
If anyone has information pertaining to the hit-and-run, CHP is interested.
Per his Model Mayhem profile, Zentner first began modeling professionally in 1999 and besides Versace, he's appeared in campaigns for such designers as Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Christian Audigier. He also had a featured role on Guiding Light, as well as a No Doubt video and Perry's "Hot N Cold" clip.
