There has got to be a happy medium between doing what's expected of her and going above and beyond. Lindsay Lohan just hasn't found it yet.
The embattled starlet arrived so early it wasn't even bright yet for community service at the L.A. County morgue, and she attempted to positively punctuate her first day on the job with a show of good will—In-N-Out and cupcakes for all!
Yeah, not the best idea on day one...
"Yes, there was an attempted delivery of cupcakes, but I turned the delivery person away," Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter tells E! News. "I had a discussion with Lindsay and she advised that she did not know the person who ordered the cupcakes. We discussed the issue of these types of incidents and that we would not allow such activity. I think that she got the message."
Well, we hope whoever wanted Lindsay to have a sweet treat was listening, because Lohan was indeed ordered by Judge Stephanie Sautner to not be disruptive.
Winter also denied a report that the morgue's temporary janitor ordered up In-N-Out for lunch, saying the story wasn't true and "nobody is eating In-N-Out today."
But Lohan's rep assured us it is true.
"Lindsay asked her assistant to pick up lunches from the In-And-Out in Huntington Park around 10:30 a.m." rep Steve Honig said in a statement to E! News. "Around 11 a.m., her assistant returned with the lunches and brought them into the administrative trailer and set the food on a table for the volunteers to eat on their break. RadarOnline's report that Lindsay had lunches brought in for the other volunteers is completely accurate despite any claims to the contrary."
Sounds like double-double the fun to us, but Winter assured us that the hamburgers were not distributed to the staff.
"Additionally, Lindsay ordered cupcakes for the staff and volunteers," Honig continued. "When they were delivered, morgue supervisors would not them them into the building. It is unfortunate that Lindsay's well-intentioned actions were not taken in the spirit in which she intended; to say she was sorry for yesterday's misunderstanding."
Maybe day two will be a little less controversial.
