Lindsey Vonn is one of America's most recognized, and honored skiers. But what you might not have realized is that she's been coming to the Olympics — off and on — since 2002!

Vonn reminded us of this with a sweet then-and-now photo of her first Olympics (2002's Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah) and today, as the 33-year-old prepares for what she expects will be her final run, in Pyeongchang, South Korea, starting in February:

Vonn has also competed in 2006 (Italy) and 2010 (Canada). In 2010 she medaled for the first and second time in the Olympics, bringing home a bronze and a gold. She planned to return in 2014 to Sochi, Russia, but was injured and had to withdraw.

We can't wait to see this American marvel make magic on the slopes again soon!
