LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan are attached to play bridesmaids in an indie comedy with the working title "Bachelorette."

The story follows three best friends (two of whom would be played by Dunst and Caplan) who are invited to act as bridesmaids at the wedding of a girl they called "Pigface" in high school. The third friend has yet to be cast.

Dunst's character is referred to as "your best friend and your worst enemy." Caplan's character is described as having a Playboy Bunny body with a Larry David brain.

Casey Wilson, one of the stars of ABC's "Happy Endings," is playing the bride, who has big plans for the women. Adam Scott, who starred with Caplan on the comedy "Party Down," will play Caplan's high school crush, who shows up at the wedding with a beautiful and much younger date.

Leslye Headland, a former assistant to producer Harvey Weinstein, will make her directing debut on the $3 million film, which is based on an off-Broadway hit. It will be produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay via their Gary Sanchez production label. Depending on scheduling, the producers hope to shoot this summer in New York.
