Kanye changes face of 'Saturday Night Live'

Kanye West is a comeback king.

Sure, we're half-referring to that gold crown atop the hip-hopster's head during his "Saturday Night Live" "Power" performance, but his royal reign didn't end there. Clad in a red-leather getup, Kanye broke 36 seasons of SNL convention during his two musical sets, changing the signature black, instrument filled stage to an all white, backlit canvas. And trust us, taking a chance only worked in his favor this time around...

After Saturday night, it's time to let go of Taylor Swift-gate (that was 2009, folks!). And so what if crazy Twitter rants are a Kanye fave (no one has to click in to read them!).

West's SNL performance proved once again that no matter what's going on in his personal life, he is an artist and will continue to take chances in the music industry — ultimately breaking new ground.

Love him or hate him, Kanye West and those aesthetically pleasing performances were the best thing to come out of this week's "Saturday Night Live." We love Emmy-winning host Bryan Cranston as much as the next person, but they just didn't use nearly enough of his "Breaking Bad" goodness.
