"Iron House" (Thomas Dunne), by John Hart: John Hart delivers another outstanding thriller with "Iron House," the story of two brothers kept apart by circumstance.
When Michael and Julian were younger, they were both housed in an orphanage. Michael fled to New York, where he went to work for a notorious mob boss. A politician and his wife adopted Julian.
Cut to the present day. Michael has fallen in love and wants out of the business. But no one walks away from the "family" and lives. His girlfriend has no idea of his real profession — and he wants to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, his efforts put a target on his back. The couple flee to North Carolina, where he hopes to reunite with Julian.
Secrets, lies and an abandoned former orphanage beckon the reader into a web of violence and emotion. Hart creates such vivid imagery, the reader sees the story slowly unfolding in full color. "Iron House" immerses the reader in a world that's haunting in its tone and power.
