This week, Jeb Bush made two important appearances: First, to officially announce his candidacy for the presidency in 2016. Second, he appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to slow jam the news.

You read that right. Bush appeared on "Tonight" with Fallon in one of the host's classic routines Tuesday night, trading off serious political affirmations with groovy translations.

Noted Bush, "Whoever we choose [in 2016] will be tasked with changing the course of our country and whipping America back into shape."

That led Fallon to make a "Fifty Shades of Grey" reference, which gave Bush a chance to show off his sense of humor (and that he's familiar with the host's recurring characters): "I think I speak for all Americans when I say, 'Eww.'"

As Bush continued to convey his intentions as a candidate and possible president, Fallon's crooning (with backup from The Roots) kept things light: "After months of being a total caucus tease, Jeb finally made up his mind and quit beating around the bush."

And when Bush spoke one of his lines in Spanish, Fallon jumped in: "Whoa, woah, woah, hold the telefono," he said. "I know you just got back from Miami, but I didn't think I was interviewing Governor Pitbull."

Sounds like a catchy nickname to us!
